This week, our picture comes courtesy of photographer Tom Schwabel. I still remember the first time I ever saw a baobab tree; I was absolutely stunned. I thought it was the weirdest looking plant ever, sticking out of the African savannah as if the roots were trying to catch rain as soon as it fell from the sky. Tom has captured two baobabs beautifully silhouetted by the African moon. Read on to see the picture for yourself.

P.S. If you have any beautiful pictures of Africa from your own travels, we’d love to see them! Feel free to email them to edward[at]africansafaris[dot]com and we’d be happy to post them on our blog with your permission.
