Elephant Calf ‘Charges’ Car

There are few things cuter in this world than an elephant calf. With their oversized ears, clumsy demeanour and awkward trunk movements, they’ve yet to come to grips with just how to use their powerfully built frame. Usually never more than a few metres from their mother or siblings, they live a sheltered life until they come of age and are able to fend for themselves – which they do quite well. But some, it seems, are keen to take matters into their own hands a little sooner than others…

Spotted whilst on a game drive just outside Mfuwe Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, this lucky group of tourists happened upon a young elephant calf who clearly heard them mocking his trunk abilities and decided that they needed to be taught a lesson in manners.
